Construction Material Exports Surge to $2.84 Billion in May

In May, Türkiye’s construction materials exports rose 5.6% YoY to reach $2.84 billion, with volumes up 9% to nearly 5 million tonnes. This marks a recovery from pandemic-era lows and cements Türkiye’s position as a reliable global supplier.

Subsector growth was broad-based; including iron and steel (+3.6%), electrical equipment (+12.6%), and metal products (+10.6%); though prefabricated building exports lagged slightly.
