As climate change exacerbates water scarcity in many regions, Türkiye is emerging as a key supplier of water infrastructure solutions; ranging from pipelines and pumps to filtration systems and smart irrigation; for countries in the Arab world and Africa.
A Critical Export Sector for Resilience
With its advanced manufacturing base and engineering expertise, Türkiye supplies PVC and HDPE water pipes, solar-powered pumps, water meters, and storage tanks to governments and municipalities across Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Jordan, and Yemen. These products are crucial for expanding access to safe water and modernizing decaying infrastructure.
Turkish companies are also executing turnkey projects for well-drilling, irrigation networks, and wastewater management—particularly in remote or conflict-affected zones.
Private and Public Sector Collaboration
Both state-backed enterprises and private companies like Kastaş, Pipelife Turkey, and Masdaf are working with regional partners to co-develop water and irrigation infrastructure. Support from Turkish Eximbank and development agencies makes financing these projects easier.
Türkiye’s modular, mobile water solutions are especially in demand for refugee camps, arid zones, and emergency drought relief.
Smart Irrigation and Climate Resilience
With increasing focus on climate-resilient farming, Turkish drip and sprinkler irrigation technologies are helping reduce water loss and increase yield efficiency. Farmers across Lebanon, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia are integrating Turkish systems into agriculture strategies aimed at sustainable productivity.
